Cafe Darakhshan Reviews

  • I’ve been there 3 times, Darakshan pulao is worth trying. There are three options;
    1. Chicken pulao, where you’re served with a fried drum stick, rick, egg and fries.
    2. Fish Pulao, where you’ve fried cubes of boneless fish spread in the rice topped with egg and fries, enough quantity and my favorite till date.
    3. Prawn pulao, lil prawns are spread in rice with egg topped over rice and fries.
    Prawns are not that tasty as they should be but overall quantity, taste and feel is 9/10 – Asad Anwar
  • I recently tried the Daraksha Special Palao at Daraksha Cafe, and it was absolutely delightful! The hype surrounding it is real, and I can see why. The flavors were rich, the rice was perfectly cooked, and the spices added a wonderful kick. It’s definitely a must-try dish if you visit the cafe! – Adnan Sarfaraz
  • Starting from the environment, It was great the old structure and old beautiful environment. Got the vibe of old era. Lovely vibes and the most important their darakhshan special dish which I tried for the first time and it turned out to be very delicious.. No one is offering this type of dish in Karachi. They should open branches in other areas of Karachi as well. Loved the dish – Aamir Ahmed
  • Amid all the hustle bustle of Saddar is an old preserved building where this restaurant is located. Once you enter the building, you won’t find any ac or but still the place is cool. There is a separate family portion on the first floor and the overall atmosphere of serene. The food is amazing, although we tried White Karahi which was good , but the Plauo and Chullu Kabab are the speciality of this place. Also, the chai is served in a unique way. They bring the milk and tea, and you are supposed to mix it up according to your desire. Overall, I will give it an 8 out of 10 – Rehmat Rahim Rustam
  • I’ve been eating here from a very long time, i love their vibe(kinda vintage aesthetic, or maybe it’s just nostalgia xD) we always(mostly) order their pulao platter which comes with ALOT of rice 2 pieces of chicken Broast, 2 fried eggs on top with lil bit of fries(it costs about 750-780 I don’t remember exactly). It’s enough for 3 people. Their service is also very quick, overall i always had a great experience here, and Durakhshan cafe never disappoints😊 – Hassan Shah
